You’re not behind — you’re being prepared.

Let’s be real for a second:
Feeling lost isn’t a sign you’re off-track — it’s usually a sign you’re getting closer to the truth.

We’re raised to believe our mission should be obvious.
That it comes with fireworks, clarity, and a perfect business plan.
But the truth is, mission often starts as a whisper — not a blueprint.

You don’t find your mission.
You remember it.

Step 1: Accept the Fog

Mission doesn’t always start with direction. It starts with discomfort.
The feeling of:

  • “There’s more to life than this.”
  • “What I’m doing isn’t cutting it anymore.”
  • “I don’t feel fully me.”

That ache? That’s your inner compass recalibrating. It means something real is trying to break through.

Don’t rush it. Be present in the fog — that’s where the work begins.

Step 2: Pay Attention to What Breaks Your Heart (or Fires You Up)

Your mission is hiding in plain sight.

Ask yourself:

  • What injustice gets under your skin every time?
  • What do you wish people understood better about life, love, or healing?
  • If money didn’t matter, what would you wake up and do?

Passion points to purpose.
Pain points to healing.
Your mission is almost always born in the place where the two meet.

Step 3: Listen to the Callbacks

Ever notice how life keeps pulling you toward certain things?

Maybe:

  • People always come to you for the same kind of advice
  • You’ve had “random” opportunities show up that speak to something deeper
  • You’ve survived things that gave you insight others don’t have

Those aren’t coincidences. That’s life reminding you who you are.
Start paying attention to what keeps coming back around — it’s usually your calling in disguise.

Step 4: Purpose Feels Like Alignment, Not Perfection

You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You don’t need a business plan, a following, or a title.
You just need to say yes to the next aligned step.

Purpose is less about what you do and more about who you’re becoming while you do it.

Ask:

  • Am I being honest with myself?
  • Am I making moves from love, not fear?
  • Am I becoming more of who I actually am?

If the answer is yes — you’re on the path.

Step 5: Quiet the World, So You Can Hear Your Own Voice

Your mission doesn’t live in someone else’s IG story, career path, or expectations.
It lives within you — and it’s been waiting for your attention.

Sometimes you’ve gotta log out, slow down, and get still enough to hear your own truth.

You’re not here to copy someone else’s path.
You’re here to create the one only you can walk.

Bonus: Your Mission Can Evolve — That’s Not Failure, That’s Flow

Don’t get stuck trying to “figure it out” once and for all.

Your purpose at 25 might not be your purpose at 40. That doesn’t make the earlier version wrong — it was just part of the process.

Stay open. Let it shift. Let it grow with you.

And Yes — This Is All Connected to the Bigger Picture

What we’re building here — this movement, this platform, this nonprofit —
It’s all rooted in one mission:
To help people and animals live fuller, freer, more love-filled lives.

So whether you’re still finding your mission or finally living it —
you’re part of something bigger by just being on this path.
